Ryder dragons can sit upon your shoulder while you go about your adventures. The feet should be slightly cupped to fit upon your shoulder, drape the tail down your back and up and over to your opposite shoulder for balance.
Alchemy and Tinker have been released from reserve I will list them for sale.
Night-Sprites have been specially hatched to be more magical, they love glitter, and all that glitters! Most have faerie wings, a few take after a more distant dragon ancestor and have dragon wings. They are attracted to sparkly things, especially white blossoms in moonlight.
They can be seen gathering nectar from night blooming flowers , although a few have mistaken Night-sprites for large moths or bats ….never fear they do not bite…too much.
Odin is made from a black – red shimmer Lycra velvet fabric, with a black velvet Lycra for the under colors. I choose special red Iris eyes for him, a black fox fur mane, a shell nose horn and black texture paint for his face nubs.
Finishing up the Red and Lavender tie dye dragon today, all I have left to do is assembling, button covers, name tag, adding her lavender ostrich mane. It was hard to come up with a name, but I finally choose Orchid for her.
Mezzanotte is a Nipper Dragon with custom glass eyes, bought and shipped to me by the dragon purchaser.
I am thinking of using glass eyes for a few of the largest dragons, it would be more work- getting the eyes set into a head requires washers and wire or cotter pins, but the effect is amazing. (these are an artist’s custom printed eyes and are lovely)
While I do know how to make similar eyes, printing eyes that are glued onto the back of a glass cabochon, then set into a bezel backing with a loop on the back…. but it would add to the final cost. Buying them from Etsy would save me time, but still add $20 to the cost of a dragon…I’m leaning towards just buying them for special dragons.
I had tried making Luna wings last year and had set them aside on a shelf. While sewing some green Reivers, I looked over, saw the wings, and – serendipity! The Luna-Reivers were hatched! I have had an amazing response to these and will plan on making a few more, possibly more butterfly designs as well.
